Nizhoni Denipah, MD
Dr. Nizhoni Denipah is a board-certified Otolaryngologist (ENT) providing expert care in ear, nose and throat conditions, in addition to head and neck surgery. She earned her MD from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine and completed her residency in Otolaryngology at UNM Hospital. She is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. Dr. Denipah offers a compassionate, culturally informed approach to head and neck medicine, rooted in clinical excellence and evidence-based medicine.
In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Denipah is a committed advocate for Native American health and representation in medicine. She serves on the boards of the Association of American Indian Physicians (AAIP) and We Are Healers (WAH), supporting Indigenous pathways into healthcare and promoting equity in care delivery. Dr. Denipah is deeply engaged in the Santa Fe community, participating in wellness initiatives, cultural events and youth mentorship programs. She frequently speaks on resilience and leadership within Native communities and contributes significantly to regional health and cultural advancement.
Dr. Denipah is a proud mother, daughter and sister. Family is her foundation and guiding force. Through her work in medicine, advocacy and the arts, she remains dedicated to building healthier, more connected communities.
