Dermatology

At Nexus Health, we are proud to offer leading-edge care across the spectrum of healthcare specialties. Our dermatology clinic is led by Trisha Patel, MD, FAAD, a board-certified dermatologist who is an expert in treating a wide range of skin, hair, and nail health disorders in both adults and children. Dr. Patel treats both cancerous and benign conditions.

Our dermatology clinic treats conditions including:

  • Cutaneous malignancies, which include skin cancers like melanoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and basal cell cancer. Like all cancer care, there is no “one size fits all” treatment—options will vary depending on the type and stage of skin cancer at diagnosis, as well as other factors. Our providers will meet with you and depending on your needs, will develop a personalized treatment plan to help address concerns.
  • Benign or noncancerous skin growths, which include warts, age spots, or cysts.
  • Alopecia, which is hair loss from the scalp or other areas of the body. This hair loss can be temporary or permanent and may be caused by hormonal changes, medical conditions, aging, or hereditary factors. Patients may experience a gradual thinning of the hair on top of their head, bald spots, full-body hair loss, or skin conditions like ringworm. If you are experiencing continual hair loss, treatment may be an option.
  • Inflammatory dermatoses, a group of skin conditions characterized by rashes, triggered by bacteria, viruses, fungi, or allergens. This can include dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, rashes from poison ivy or poison oak, or rashes as a side effect of medication. Our dermatology clinic can help you understand the cause and provide relief for these conditions.
  • Skin care, including skin evaluation and diagnosis. We provide a thorough examination of your skin, its history, and any areas of concern, including acne and moles.
  • Pediatric dermatology, which focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of skin conditions in children.

Dr. Patel’s advanced dermatology services are a valuable resource for those seeking comprehensive skin care. If you have any skin-related concerns, contact us at 505-477-2200 to make an appointment.
