Welcome Amy Schulze, MD, Breast Surgeon

Nexus Health is pleased to welcome Amy Schulze, MD, breast surgeon, to the practice. Dr. Schulze brings her expertise in comprehensive breast health services and advanced surgical techniques to Nexus Health, thus expanding the practice’s ability to see and serve patients in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Dr. Schulze received her medical degree at the Indiana University School of Medicine. She then went on to complete a residency in general surgery at the University at Buffalo and a breast surgical oncology fellowship at the world-renowned Mayo Clinic. She is a current member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons, the Society of Surgical Oncology, and the American Medical Association.

“Dr. Schulze is deeply dedicated to her patients’ care and guiding them through their breast surgery journey,” said Dr. Scott Herbert. “We’re thrilled to be able to offer her expertise and passion for high-quality, personalized care to our community right here in New Mexico.”

A compassionate and active member of the healthcare community, Dr. Schulze served with several volunteer programs throughout her medical education, including the Indiana University School of Medicine mentor/mentee program and student outreach clinic, as well as the Salvation Army Breast Clinic in Rochester, MN.

“As a surgeon, I value delivering timely access to needed care in the communities where my patients live,” said Dr. Schulze. “I’m proud to join the Nexus Health team, where we provide access to the latest treatments and surgical techniques.”
